Welcome to Busy Bees Playhouse
Busy Bees Playhouse is an indoor play space designed especially for children ages 1–6 and their families in Abilene.
As the sister property to Busy Bees Childcare Center Abilene, our playhouse was created to give young children a place to explore, imagine, and move freely in a safe, supervised environment.
Our space features a large indoor sandbox, dramatic play areas, climbing structures, manipulatives, and a soft play zone designed for younger toddlers. Everything is thoughtfully designed to encourage creativity, movement, and social play.
While kids play, parents can relax in our parent lounge, which includes coffee, comfortable seating, Netflix, and workspace areas. Whether you want to connect with other parents or knock out a few emails, you can always keep your child within view.
We also offer:
• Mother’s Day Out (MDO) drop-off program
• Birthday party and baby shower rentals
• Monthly memberships and punch cards
• Community events for young families

Busy Bees Playhouse is a supervised play space. Our team members are actively on the floor helping monitor play, engaging with children, and ensuring a safe and fun environment.
Aside from our Mother’s Day Out program, parents remain onsite during playtime. However, you are welcome to relax in our parent lounge, enjoy a coffee, or get some work done while keeping your child within sight.
While our staff supervises the play environment, we are not a daycare. Parents remain responsible for feeding, diaper changes, and bathroom assistance.
Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging space where children can explore and play while parents feel comfortable and supported.

Our Mother’s Day Out Program is designed for children ages 2–5 and provides a fun and engaging drop-off experience for little learners.
Days: Tuesday & Thursday
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Drop-off Deadline: 9:30 AM
We ask that children eat breakfast before arrival, or parents are welcome to enjoy breakfast with their child in our lounge and dining area before drop-off.
What to Bring
• Snack and sack lunch

• Diapers and wipes (if needed)
Daily Schedule
Our program includes a balance of structured activities and free play:
• Morning music & yoga
• Circle time
• Guided play and exploration
• Lunch
• Rest / quiet time with reading and optional nap
• Snack
• Activities and creative projects
• Afternoon circle time
• Free play
We incorporate a Montessori-inspired approach with a focus on exploration, music, art, and hands-on learning.
Tuition
Registration Fee: $100
Monthly Tuition:
• $280 per month – first child
• $265 per month – each additional sibling (2nd–4th child)
We observe major holidays.
Billing is processed monthly on the 3rd of each month.
Our punch card is a great option for families who want flexibility.
10 Visits for $100
Includes entry for one adult and one child per visit.
This package saves $50 compared to individual visits.
